Discover the story, values and passion behind Dans-scene Studios.
MORE THAN DANCE
At Dans-Scene Studios, dance is about so much more than steps and routines. It's about building confidence, creating lifelong friendships, encouraging resilience and helping every student discover what they're capable of.
Every dancer is welcomed into a supportive community where they are encouraged to grow both on and off the stage.

OUR STORY
For over 25 years, Dans-Scene Studios has been inspiring dancers across Renfrewshire with high-quality dance and musical theatre training in a welcoming, supportive environment. Founded by Gillian Whyte, the studio has built a reputation for nurturing talent while ensuring every student develops confidence, creativity and a lifelong love of performing.
Based in Johnstone, Dans-Scene offers classes for children and young people in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz and Musical Theatre, with opportunities to perform throughout the year. Whether students are dancing for fun, fitness or aspiring to a professional career, every class is designed to help them grow in both ability and confidence.
Throughout its history, Dans-Scene students have performed at community events, regional showcases and prestigious productions. In the studio's 25th anniversary year, two pupils were cast in Scottish Ballet's production of The Nutcracker, with Ava Morrison performing the leading role of Clara—an achievement recognised by the Scottish Parliament.
At Dans-Scene Studios, we believe dance is about more than technique. It's about building friendships, encouraging self-expression, celebrating achievements and creating memories that last a lifetime. We are proud to be a place where every dancer feels supported, challenged and inspired to shine both on and off the stage.
